Beginning with a $500 stake and a vision for the future, three generations of the Trilla family have built Trilla Steel Drum Corporation from a drafty garage on Chicago's bustling Southwest Side into a major Midwest supplier of more than a million 55-gallon steel drums annually to customers demanding the best in quality and delivery systems.

For more than a half century Trilla has earned a reputation for meeting industry requirements that steel drums bearing their nationally recognized labels to the most structurally sound and rigidly tested available.

Trilla Steel Drum Corporation's study growth can be attributed to three factors - superior quality, technological leadership in manufacturing and unsurpassed customer service.

Superior quality is the tradition at Trilla.  Evidence of this commitment starts with the purchase of Class I Steel, made to Trilla's exacting specifications by the finest steel mills.  Further, Trilla Steel Drum Corporation was one of the first drum manufacturers to convert to 100 percent triple-seam construction more than 20 years ago.  Today, Trilla Steel Drum Corporation is testing both its Openhead and Tighthead drums with two Spectrotesters, the latest innovation in mass spectrometer leak detection systems.  Finally, and most importantly, every employee at Trilla is part of the quality tradition. In confirmation of this commitment, Trilla Steel Drum Corporation has received ISO 9002 registration as well as BSI 5750 registration.

In the area of technological improvements, Trilla Steel Drum Corporation has helped pioneer a number of manufacturing innovations such as high speed drum welding, vertical flanging and swedging systems, vertical corrugation and vertical drum expansion which are recognized, to this day, as state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.  Recently installed vertical high speed lining systems and exterior painting systems continue the tradition of significant investment in manufacturing excellence.  In addition, all of Trilla's UN POP manufactured drums are tested by an independent outside DOT approved third party testing facility.

Trilla's long-term commitment to the steel drum industry is obvious.  It is grounded in the belief that 100 percent returnable, reusable and recyclable 55-gallon steel drum is truly the "green package" for today and tomorrow.
